Tushabe Ronard

Founder/Executive Director

Tushabe Ronard is a Founder and Director of Empower Youth in Technology (EYIT). He has over four years of experience in technology, innovation, and business incubation specifically focusing on building the capacity of young people to develop technology solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering specializing in Data Communication from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and has been accepted at the University of Notre Dame in the USA to pursue a Master of Science in Technology Innovations and Entrepreneurship class of 2025.

Tushabe Ronard is a 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow and 2021 Young Africa Leaders Initiative Fellow  (US Department of State fully funded Exchange Programs), 2021 Techpreneur of the Year Africa award winner organized by Founder of the Year Africa (FOYA) and has won grants which include; 2018 Funds for Internet Research Education Africa Grant by the AFRINIC, 2020 Young Africa Leaders Initiative Transformation Grant, 2022 Capacity Building Grant from GIZ, 2022 CERRRP grant from Private Sector Foundation Uganda, and 2023 MWF Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund and Reciprocal Exchange Program.

Tushabe Ronard is on a mission to empower the next generation of youth and women in Uganda to harness the power of technology and innovation for improved incomes and jobs.
