Tom Marentette
Technical Advisor
Tom Marentette has been with the University of Notre Dame since 1997 in a variety of information technology roles, from academic technologies to network engineering to project management and his present day role as IT Solutions Architect and Streaming Program Manager. His current responsibilities include the strategy, planning and execution of enterprise academic and media technologies. In addition, he leads efforts on Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) research, design and practice. Mr. Marentette also teaches courses on Digital Health and ICT4D at the University of Notre Dame for the Eck Institute for Global Health and the Keough School of Global Affairs.
Mr. Marentette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Film from Eastern Michigan University, and a Masters degree in Global Technology and Development from Arizona State University. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, he currently resides in South Bend, Indiana with his family.
Mr. Marentette has a wealth of experience in engineering and deploying technology and mobile solutions in low and middle income countries – with a focus in the health, education and infrastructure sectors. Mr. Marentette is also the founder of DevTech Global, a digital development consulting firm.
