EYIT Challenged to Champion AI-Driven Innovation for Youth and Women Entrepreneurs in the Region

On November 21st and 22nd, 2024, Empower Youth in Technology (EYIT) participated in the “AI for CSOs: Localizing Artificial Intelligence for Grassroot Impact” conference, a transformative event held in South Western Uganda organized by Kampala Analytica. This gathering of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), technology enthusiasts, and community leaders underscored the vital role AI can play in driving sustainable development at the grassroots level. For EYIT, the conference highlighted the immense potential of AI to enhance the work we do, particularly in empowering youth and women entrepreneurs.

AI aligns perfectly with our mission of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. By leveraging AI, EYIT will better support young people and women in building innovative startups and finding innovative solutions to local challenges.

The conference’s discussions provided practical knowledge and inspiration on how AI can be localized to address specific needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for underserved communities. For the youth and women entrepreneurs we work with, AI can open doors to new opportunities, enabling them to compete in a technology-driven global market and thrive in an evolving economy.

EYIT’s participation in this conference reinforces our commitment to equipping our target audience with the tools and skills they need to succeed in the digital age. By embracing AI, we can continue to innovate and expand our impact, creating a brighter future for the communities we serve. For more information, read on EYIT News
