Asiimire Lorna is a highly motivated and trustworthy individual with a strong sense of duty and loyalty in both professional and personal spheres. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Makerere University Business School. Lorna earned her Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) from St. Agnes Girls School-Bushenyi in 2020 and completed her Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) at Immaculate Heart Girls School in 2018.
In September 2024, Lorna began her career as a Cashier at Rubax Motel, where she was responsible for recording all cash transactions and balancing financial books across departments. Previously, she interned at Mbarara City Council from August to September 2023, assisting with document preparation for the Parish Development Model, collaborating on business assessments for trading licenses, and contributing to work plans and target-setting.
During the academic year 2022-2023, Lorna served as Miss MUBS, representing the Makerere University Business School. She held leadership roles in various organizations, including Public Relations Officer for the Rotaract Club, Membership Director for the LEO Club, and Head of Facilitation for the Accounting Students Association. In the previous academic year, she was the Education Officer of the Makerere University Finance Students Association.
Lorna is proficient in financial management, with strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. She has experience collaborating with teams to achieve common goals and is adept at managing financial transactions and documents.
